Ten surgical conditions

Abstract

This dissertation consists of ten surgical conditions divided in four parts: General Surgery, Urological surgery, orthopaedics and Traumatology and Paediatric Surgery. Surgery being a wide subject the ten presented diseases do in noway reflect the frequency of the conditions. In each condition there is a detailed case report of one patient followed by a review of the characteriastic features of the remaining patients. A review of the relevant literature centered on areas of controversy and recent advances in the management of the condition is done and a conclusion drawn.
