T Background: The utilization of traditional medicine (TM) has been growing rapidly in Tanzania, yet its integration into the healthcare system remains limited. The Ministry of Health (MoH) in Tanzania has recognized this trend and taken steps toward integrating TM services into modern healthcare, beginning with several regional referral hospitals, including Dodoma Regional Referral Hospital (DRRH). Objective: This study aims to assess the community's willingness to use traditional medicine services when integrated into modern health services at DRRH, Tanzania. Methodology: A descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out among 370 clients at DRRH using a questionnaire with semi-structured questions. Data were collected using mobile devices and analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequencies and percentages. The Chi-square test was employed to assess associations between variables, and a p-value of 0.05 was used to determine statistical significance. Logistic regression was applied to identify factors associated with willingness to use TM services. Results: The study found that 55.4% of respondents had previously used traditional medicine, with only 22.4% aware of its availability within modern health facilities. Of those aware, 59% had utilized the integrated services. A significant proportion (74.6%) held positive perceptions toward integrating TM into modern health services. Past positive experiences with traditional medicine were significantly associated with willingness to use integrated services (p=0.001). Chronic diseases like hypertension and diabetes were frequently preferred for management through integrative services. Conclusion: The study highlights strong community support for integrating traditional medicine into modern healthcare systems. However, increasing awareness and enhancing healthcare infrastructure are critical for successful implementation.en_US
